The Allendale challenge 2018
The Allendale challenge 2018 heading towards the first checkpoint

The Allendale challenge 2018 was tough. We had fears that the recent snow storm would make this the toughest Allendale challenge yet.

organised by the North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team, is a 26 mile trek. The route covers some of the finest peat bogs in the North Pennines. Taking an anti-clockwise loop from Allendale town the route takes in Hard Rigg, Black Hill, Killhope Law before returning to the town via the Spartylea, The Drag, and Ladelwell.
